Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, documents, and digital archives with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, assisting with inquiries about permits, licenses, and municipal services
- Prepare and distribute official communications, including council agendas and public notices
- Coordinate interdepartmental record-keeping systems to ensure compliance with municipal regulations
- Process and file official documents including permits, licenses, and financial records
- Attend and document city council meetings with accurate minute-taking and follow-up
- Support election operations and voter registration processes during municipal elections
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in public administration preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in a government setting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex procedures
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Knowledge of Kansas open records laws and municipal regulations
