As a Courthouse Clerk, you will be the face of our office, ensuring that court operations run smoothly and that public records are preserved with the utmost accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate records of civil dockets, court filings, and legal documents.
- Assist judges, attorneys, and the general public with document retrieval and inquiries.
- Operate office automation equipment, including scanners, copiers, and filing systems.
- Receive and process payments for court fees, fines, and property taxes.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with state and local regulations.
- Perform data entry tasks with a high degree of precision and speed.
- Collaborate with other clerks and court officials to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or Business Administration is preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative or legal office setting is highly desirable.
