Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor for infrastructure maintenance including road repair, drainage system upkeep, and park landscaping
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., backhoes, graders) safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Conduct routine inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Maintain accurate records of work activities and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and city protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Florida driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year construction/maintenance experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
