As a TSA Security Screener, you'll operate advanced screening technology, conduct thorough passenger and baggage inspections, and maintain a vigilant security posture in a fast-paced airport environment. Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray machines, metal detectors, and explosive detection systems to screen passengers and carry-on luggage
- Conduct physical pat-downs and baggage searches following TSA protocols
- Verify travel documents and boarding passes for compliance with security regulations
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activity or potential threats
- Maintain accurate logs of security incidents and screening activities
- Provide excellent customer service while enforcing security procedures
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during emergency situations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a TSA security clearance
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass a background investigation and drug screening
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with screening technology
- Valid Ohio driver's license (preferred)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
