Responsibilities
- Operate advanced screening equipment including X-ray machines and metal detectors to detect prohibited items
- Conduct thorough passenger and baggage inspections following TSA protocols
- Enforce security regulations while maintaining professional customer service standards
- Identify and report suspicious activities or items to supervisory personnel
- Maintain accurate documentation of screening activities and incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement and airport personnel during security alerts
- Participate in mandatory security training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to pass rigorous background checks and drug screening
- Valid state-issued driver's license
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills in English (additional languages a plus)
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Basic computer proficiency for documentation systems
