Responsibilities
- Process emergency and non-emergency calls with speed and precision
- Dispatch law enforcement, fire, and EMS units using CAD/RMS systems
- Provide pre-arrival instructions to callers during critical incidents
- Maintain detailed logs of all communications and activities
- Collaborate with multiple agencies during complex emergency responses
- Adhere to NIMS protocols and departmental procedures
- Train on radio operations and multi-channel communication systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted)
- Minimum 18 years of age at time of hire
- Pass comprehensive background investigation and drug screening
- Typing proficiency of 35+ WPM with 90% accuracy
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure environments
- Clear verbal/written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Basic computer literacy and technical aptitude
- Valid Texas driver's license
