Responsibilities
- Scan horizon for emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) and assess market viability
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in emerging domains including decentralized systems
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate future tech into commercial offerings
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets and vendor ecosystems
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 startups
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains (quantum/AI/AR/blockchain)
- Strong financial modeling and ROI analysis capabilities
