Responsibilities
- Architect and lead technology roadmaps for 2026+ innovations, focusing on AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Conduct horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify emerging technologies with disruptive potential
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and industry leaders
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating futuristic concepts
- Present visionary technology strategies to C-suite executives and external stakeholders
- Secure and manage R&D budgets exceeding $10M for next-generation projects
- Publish thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals and industry forums
Qualifications
- PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of strategic tech experience
- Proven track record in developing and scaling futuristic technologies (AI/ML, quantum, AR/VR)
- Exceptional systems thinking with ability to connect disparate technologies into cohesive visions
- Expertise in emerging technology ecosystems and regulatory landscapes
- Strong network within Silicon Valley innovation hubs and research communities
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams through complex product development cycles
- Published author or speaker at major tech conferences (TED, Web Summit, etc.)
- Proficiency in strategic planning frameworks and technology forecasting methodologies
