Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex spatial data to support county planning and development projects.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality interactive maps and geospatial databases using ArcGIS and related software.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and provide technical solutions.
- Perform quality assurance on spatial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with state standards.
- Prepare technical reports, visualizations, and presentations for stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Maintain and update the department's GIS infrastructure and troubleshoot software issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS analysis, cartography, or geospatial data management.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
- Strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, or other scripting languages for data manipulation.
- Experience with geodatabase management and data conversion processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
