Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize geospatial databases and web-based mapping applications using ArcGIS Pro and REST services.
- Perform advanced spatial analysis and statistical modeling to solve complex planning and resource allocation problems.
- Design and produce high-quality cartographic products, reports, and visualizations for executive stakeholders and the public.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data into asset management and permitting workflows.
- Conduct data quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with county standards.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical training on GIS tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in GIS analysis, data management, or cartography.
- Advanced proficiency in Esri ArcGIS (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcPy) and Python scripting.
- Experience with SQL database management and web development (JavaScript/HTML/CSS) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geodatabase architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into clear insights.
