Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain county GIS databases and spatial analysis tools
- Create and update digital maps for public infrastructure, land use, and emergency services
- Provide technical support to county departments requiring geographic data visualization
- Conduct spatial analysis to support urban planning and resource allocation decisions
- Develop automated workflows for geospatial data processing and reporting
- Collaborate with IT and public works teams on system integration projects
- Train county staff on GIS software and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of professional GIS experience with Esri ArcGIS suite
- Proficiency in spatial analysis, cartography, and database management
- Experience with Python or SQL for geospatial automation
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to spatial accuracy
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Valid Missouri driver's license and clean driving record
- GIS Professional (GISP) certification preferred
