Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain accurate geographic data layers and maps using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and planning teams to analyze complex spatial data and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and quality control for all spatial databases and mapping projects.
- Perform field data collection, verification, and analysis as required for specific projects.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, maps, and presentations for state stakeholders and the public.
- Maintain and update existing GIS databases to reflect current project statuses.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, Urban Planning, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience with GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and database management.
- Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of programming languages like Python is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of Arizona state geography, transportation networks, and environmental regulations.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced government environment.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license may be required.
