Responsibilities
- Manage and organize incoming correspondence, inquiries, and official documents with high attention to detail.
- Coordinate scheduling for executive staff, including arranging meetings, travel, and conference logistics.
- Prepare, compose, and edit complex reports, memos, and presentations for government officials.
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical filing systems in compliance with DC government regulations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring professional and timely communication.
- Assist in the planning and execution of agency-wide events and community outreach programs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administrative support, office management, or a related government role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government-specific databases.
- Strong understanding of DC government protocols, compliance standards, and public service ethics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to draft clear, professional correspondence.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
