Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process incoming government correspondence, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
- Maintain and organize complex public records, filing systems, and databases with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding city services, permits, and regulations via phone, email, and in-person.
- Prepare and edit official documents, reports, and meeting minutes with a focus on precision and compliance.
- Coordinate schedules for departmental staff and facilitate inter-departmental communications.
- Perform data entry tasks and generate reports to assist management in decision-making processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal government policies and protocols.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree in Public Administration or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in administrative support, preferably within a government or public sector setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with government-specific software (e.g., AMS, ERP systems) is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse populations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clean background check required for government clearance.
