Responsibilities
- Process and verify incoming government documents, permits, and applications with high accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public, answering inquiries regarding city services, zoning, and licensing.
- Maintain and organize confidential filing systems and digital databases for department records.
- Coordinate with various city departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
- Assist in the preparation of weekly reports and statistical data for management review.
- Monitor office supply levels and assist in ordering necessary materials to maintain operations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Administration is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably within a government or public sector environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government-specific software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening as per city regulations.
