Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Operate heavy machinery, including street sweepers, graders, and dump trucks, safely and efficiently.
- Maintain parks and recreational areas to ensure public safety and aesthetic appeal.
- Inspect work sites for hazards and ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather or peak hours.
- Collaborate with other city departments to coordinate infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License.
- Physical ability to perform strenuous outdoor labor, including lifting 50+ lbs.
- Previous experience in municipal government or public works is preferred but not required.
- Ability to pass a standard drug screen and background check.
