Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate daily administrative operations within the Office of Management and Budget.
- Manage the flow of information between municipal departments, ensuring timely communication and accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial reports, and strategic policy recommendations for city officials.
- Ensure strict compliance with local, state, and federal government regulations and civil service protocols.
- Conduct research and analysis on public policy trends to support evidence-based decision-making.
- Maintain and update public-facing databases and internal filing systems with the highest level of confidentiality.
- Lead or participate in special projects aimed at streamlining city services and enhancing community engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a government, municipal, or civil service environment.
- Proven experience in budget preparation, financial reporting, or public policy analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and government-specific software.
- Strong understanding of Texas state laws and federal government regulations regarding public records.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
