Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of municipal policies, procedures, and operational data.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and briefings for the City Council and department leadership.
- Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement within government departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions.
- Monitor legislative changes at the local, state, and federal levels to ensure compliance.
- Manage stakeholder communications to ensure transparency and engagement.
- Assist in the development and management of the department's budget.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in government, public sector, or a related analytical role.
- Proven experience in conducting research, writing reports, and making presentations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of Omaha municipal government structure and processes is a plus.
