Responsibilities
- Analyze complex pension data and prepare detailed reports for city officials.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal government regulations regarding public sector benefits.
- Conduct internal audits to verify accuracy of employee records and pension calculations.
- Collaborate with HR teams to assist in the administration of retirement plans.
- Develop and maintain documentation for pension plan policies and procedures.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding pension eligibility and vesting.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in government administration or financial analysis.
- Familiarity with CalPERS (California Public Employees’ Retirement System) regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail.
