Role Overview
The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support to government departments. You will serve as the face of our agency, interacting with citizens and ensuring the smooth execution of state policies within the local community.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and document processing.
- Manage incoming public inquiries via phone, email, and in-person visits with professionalism.
- Assist in the coordination of government programs and community outreach events.
- Ensure strict adherence to state regulations and organizational policies.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports for department heads.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.
- Process daily transactions and maintain petty cash and budget logs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office or administrative setting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Knowledge of state government procedures and public service ethics is a plus.
