Responsibilities
- Client Intake & Support: Conduct initial assessments and interviews with community members to determine eligibility for government assistance programs.
- Case Management: Develop and implement individualized service plans to support clients in achieving their self-sufficiency goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, confidential records of all client interactions, applications, and case notes using our secure government database.
- Community Outreach: Represent the city at local events and collaborate with non-profit organizations to expand access to services.
- Compliance: Ensure all services provided comply with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, social services, or a related government sector role.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations effectively.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning new government software systems.
- Availability: Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends as required by program needs.
