Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal/state regulations (e.g., OMB, GAO, Nevada NRS) in procurement, grants, and public works
- Conduct internal audits and investigations to identify regulatory violations
- Develop/implement compliance training programs for 500+ county employees
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for County Commissioners and state auditors
- Liaise with DOJ, EPA, and other regulatory agencies during inspections
- Review 50+ vendor contracts monthly for regulatory adherence
- Lead cross-departmental compliance task forces
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Finance, or Law (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years government compliance/regulatory experience
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) or equivalent credential
- Expertise in federal grant management (CFDA, OMB Circulars)
- Advanced knowledge of Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 354
- Proficient in compliance software (e.g., FedConnect, Deltek)
- Valid Nevada driver's license
- Ability to obtain Secret clearance
