Responsibilities
- Perform general administrative and clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and sorting documents.
- Answer a multi-line phone system and direct calls to appropriate departments or staff members.
- Greet visitors and provide information regarding city services and departmental functions.
- Prepare, compile, and distribute reports, memos, invoices, and correspondence.
- Operate office machinery such as scanners, printers, and fax machines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
- Assist department supervisors with special projects and various ad-hoc tasks.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (minimum 30 WPM) are necessary.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training and learn new software systems.
