Responsibilities
- Analyze state agency budgets for compliance with fiscal policies
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for legislative review
- Monitor expenditure patterns and recommend cost-saving measures
- Collaborate with department heads on budget forecasting
- Conduct audits of grant programs and federal funds
- Develop financial models for long-term planning initiatives
- Present findings to executive leadership and oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Public Administration
- 3+ years of government or nonprofit financial analysis
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (SAP, Oracle)
- Understanding of Florida Statutes Chapter 216 (Budgeting)
- Strong written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
