Responsibilities
- Analyze complex financial data to support budget formulation and fiscal policy decisions
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports for county commissioners and department heads
- Monitor grant compliance and ensure adherence to federal/state regulations
- Collaborate with auditors during annual financial reviews
- Develop long-term financial forecasts and economic impact analyses
- Present financial findings to public officials and community stakeholders
- Implement financial systems improvements and process optimizations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of government or public sector financial experience
- CPA or CFA certification strongly preferred
- Proficiency in financial software (SAP, Oracle Financials) and MS Excel
- Demonstrated knowledge of governmental accounting standards (GASB)
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass background clearance
