Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate government records, databases, and filing systems with strict adherence to protocols.
- Process incoming applications, permits, and official documents efficiently and accurately.
- Assist the public and state agencies with inquiries regarding local and state regulations.
- Prepare and compile weekly and monthly operational reports for regional management review.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless communication and workflow processes.
- Maintain a professional, welcoming, and organized office environment for visitors and staff.
- Conduct routine audits of departmental processes to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in administrative support, office management, or a similar public sector role.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data management software.
- Ability to pass a mandatory background check, drug screening, and security clearance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Knowledge of Illinois state government procedures and regulations is highly desirable.
