Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and repair critical government server infrastructure and network hardware to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Cybersecurity Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols to protect sensitive citizen data and government records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- User Support: Provide tier-2 technical support and troubleshooting for government staff, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal downtime.
- Data Analysis: Analyze system performance metrics and generate reports to recommend improvements for operational efficiency.
- Project Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of IT upgrades and software rollouts across multiple city departments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including standard operating procedures and incident reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent military/technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical role.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Government Experience: Prior experience working within a government or public sector environment is a major plus.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a standard background check and drug screening required for government employment.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
