Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain city-wide server systems, networks, and cloud infrastructure
- Implement cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data
- Provide technical support to 50+ municipal departments
- Develop disaster recovery plans and conduct regular system testing
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware/software procurement and upgrades
- Create documentation for system configurations and procedures
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise system administration
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent cybersecurity certification
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) preferred
- Government or public sector background highly valued
- Valid Texas driver's license required
