Responsibilities
- Execute daily administrative duties and maintain accurate, up-to-date records for city departments.
- Interact with the public, businesses, and city officials with the highest level of professionalism and courtesy.
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of community events and local government initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with all local, state, and federal government regulations and safety protocols.
- Monitor office operations and assist in inventory management for supplies and equipment.
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and presentations for city management review.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming work environment for all staff and visitors.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required; an Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Public Administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in a government, public service, or administrative role is preferred.
- Must successfully pass a standard background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting process.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and government-specific software.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for special city functions.
