Responsibilities
- Manage and process incoming government documents, permits, and correspondence with high accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist the general public with inquiries regarding city services, zoning, and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal government policies and compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate digital and physical records, and prepare detailed weekly activity reports for department supervision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline administrative processes and improve service delivery.
- Perform routine data entry and filing tasks to support the daily operations of the department.
- Monitor project timelines and communicate updates to stakeholders in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate’s degree in Public Administration or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a government, municipal, or large-scale administrative setting is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities with the capacity to interact with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and government filing systems.
