Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and patrol designated government facilities during overnight hours
- Respond promptly to security alerts, emergencies, and public safety incidents
- Enforce access control protocols for restricted municipal areas
- Document all security activities, incidents, and maintenance needs in detailed reports
- Coordinate with emergency services (NOLA PD, Fire Dept) during critical situations
- Conduct regular inspections of property perimeters and alarm systems
- Assist with disaster preparedness drills and emergency response protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana Security Guard License (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during night shifts
- Proficient in surveillance systems, access control software, and radio communications
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during emergency situations
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean record
- U.S. citizenship and ability to pass federal background check
