Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily office operations to ensure efficient workflow.
- Organize, maintain, and secure confidential government records and public files.
- Process incoming applications, correspondence, and official forms accurately and in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service and assistance to the public, stakeholders, and internal staff.
- Coordinate departmental meetings, prepare agendas, and maintain the official calendar.
- Assist with budget preparation, expense reporting, and procurement of office supplies.
- Collaborate with other state agencies to ensure compliance with North Carolina government regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Public Service preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative experience within a government or corporate office environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and government database management systems.
- Strong understanding of government procedures, record-keeping standards, and data privacy laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to pass a mandatory criminal background check and drug screening.
