Responsibilities
- Manage and organize incoming government correspondence, ensuring accurate filing and record-keeping in accordance with state regulations.
- Provide high-level customer service and administrative support to city officials and the general public via phone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of official city documents, agendas, and meeting minutes.
- Monitor departmental budgets and assist in the processing of invoices and expense reports.
- Conduct research on city policies and procedures to support decision-making processes.
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of sensitive government data and personnel files.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or government-related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and government-specific databases (e.g., eTIMS, AMS).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional demeanor.
- Ability to obtain a Washington State government background clearance.
