Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee pension fund operations including contributions, distributions, and compliance with federal/state regulations
- Process retirement applications, calculate benefits, and maintain accurate participant records
- Develop and implement pension plan policies aligned with government standards
- Conduct regular audits and financial reporting to ensure fiduciary responsibility
- Advise employees on retirement planning, investment options, and eligibility requirements
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and legal departments to ensure regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or retirement plan management experience
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or SHRM-SCP designation preferred
- Proficiency with pension management software (e.g., Millennium, PeopleAdmin)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, IRS 401(k), and Ohio public pension regulations
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities for employee training and stakeholder reporting
