Responsibilities
- Assist in the end-to-end processing of pension applications and retirement benefit claims with strict accuracy.
- Provide exceptional customer service and clear guidance to current employees and retirees regarding their pension eligibility.
- Maintain and secure both digital and physical archives of all retirement documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance department to audit payroll data and verify benefit calculations.
- Conduct research on retirement plan updates and interpret complex policy changes for the public.
- Prepare routine administrative reports regarding fund status and employee participation rates.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or Public Administration is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and email correspondence.
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary government security clearance.
- A strong desire to learn and adapt to new software systems in a fast-paced government environment.
