Responsibilities
- Manage and process weekend pension applications, benefit claims, and status updates for retirees with precision and speed.
- Conduct thorough reconciliations of pension disbursements and general ledger accounts during off-peak hours.
- Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to retirees and beneficiaries via phone and email during weekend operations.
- Review and audit pension documentation for compliance with state regulations and internal control policies.
- Collaborate with the week-day team to resolve complex discrepancies and ensure a seamless transition of duties.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee and retiree financial data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in pension administration, human resources, or government benefits processing.
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently during assigned weekend shifts.
- Strong knowledge of state government regulations and retirement plan administration principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Access) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle high-volume workload under pressure.
