- Oversee the administration of the state pension plan, ensuring accurate calculation and disbursement of benefits to retirees.
- Review and process new pension applications and eligibility requests in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of employee contributions and projected retirement earnings.
- Conduct audits and quality assurance checks on pension files to minimize errors and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to government employees regarding their pension inquiries and status updates.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll departments to ensure data consistency across all government systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience working with government payroll systems and pension plan administration.
- Strong knowledge of relevant government regulations, ERISA, and state labor laws.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle sensitive financial data with confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders and the public.
