Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee compliance of federal pension plans with ERISA, IRS, and OPM regulations
- Analyze pension fund performance data and recommend investment strategy adjustments
- Develop and implement retirement benefit policies for federal agencies
- Conduct audits of pension plan administration and reporting systems
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on retirement system modernization initiatives
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional oversight committees
- Train federal HR professionals on pension plan administration
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- Proficiency in federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and OPM regulations
- Strong analytical skills with experience in pension fund valuation modeling
- Knowledge of ERISA compliance requirements and IRS Code 401(a)
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA, or CFA) preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
