Responsibilities
- Administer pension enrollment, disbursement, and retirement applications with precision
- Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, and Kansas pension regulations
- Process weekend shift benefits inquiries and documentation for participants
- Analyze pension data to identify trends and recommend policy improvements
- Collaborate with finance teams for quarterly reporting and audits
- Develop educational materials for retirement planning workshops
- Manage participant communications via phone, email, and secure portals
- Coordinate with state agencies for seamless pension transitions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of pension administration or benefits management experience
- Expertise in ERISA regulations and retirement plan compliance
- Proficiency in benefits software (e.g., Workday, Oracle HCM)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently on weekend shifts (Sat-Sun)
- Kansas government experience preferred
