Role Overview:
As the Weekend Pension Specialist, you will be responsible for processing retirement applications, verifying eligibility, and providing exceptional customer service to retirees. You will work closely with a team of finance professionals to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining high standards of data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Review and process incoming pension applications and retirement claims with high accuracy.
- Verify participant eligibility and calculate final pension benefits according to government guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries from retirees and beneficiaries via phone, email, and in-person during weekend shifts.
- Maintain and update secure electronic records for all pension plan participants.
- Collaborate with the finance department to resolve discrepancies in payroll and benefit calculations.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal and state compliance regulations regarding retirement funds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in pension administration, government services, or actuarial science.
- Strong working knowledge of retirement plan structures and government regulations.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage sensitive financial data with absolute confidentiality.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
