Responsibilities
- Research and analyze complex policy issues affecting San Diego residents
- Develop evidence-based policy recommendations for City Council consideration
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives to implement new policies
- Monitor legislation and regulatory changes affecting local government
- Engage with community groups and public stakeholders
- Support grant applications and compliance documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of policy analysis or government experience
- Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills
- Expertise in data analysis tools (Excel, SPSS, or R)
- Experience with public sector budgeting processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid California driver's license
