Responsibilities
- Analyze complex municipal legislation and recommend evidence-based policy solutions
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for City Council and mayoral offices
- Coordinate interdepartmental projects with 15+ city agencies
- Conduct quantitative/qualitative research using SPSS and R
- Manage public engagement initiatives with diverse community stakeholders
- Track federal/state grant compliance and funding opportunities
- Advise on sustainability and equity-focused policy frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years government/public sector experience
- Advanced proficiency in policy analysis software (e.g., PolicyMap, ArcGIS)
- Proven grant writing and federal compliance experience
- Kansas City municipal government familiarity preferred
- Valid Missouri driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance
