Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and monitor public policy programs aligned with city strategic objectives
- Analyze complex municipal data to identify service gaps and recommend evidence-based solutions
- Coordinate interdepartmental initiatives ensuring compliance with federal/state regulations
- Manage grant applications and reporting processes for federal/state funding opportunities
- Develop stakeholder engagement strategies with community organizations and elected officials
- Prepare comprehensive program evaluations and impact assessment reports
- Serve as primary liaison between city agencies and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience in government operations or public sector program management
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau) and grant management systems
- Strong understanding of California municipal governance and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with demonstrated report-writing abilities
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
- Valid California driver's license (may require travel to field sites)
- US citizenship or permanent resident status required for government clearance
