Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry and filing of official city records, including permits, licenses, and legal documents.
- Assist the public with inquiries regarding city ordinances, policies, and available services.
- Sort, scan, and archive physical and digital files to ensure efficient record retrieval.
- Operate office equipment such as printers, scanners, and standard office software.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and adhere to strict government compliance standards.
- Collaborate with department supervisors to streamline administrative workflows.
- Answer multi-line phone systems and greet visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills (30 wpm minimum).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid Driver’s License is preferred but not mandatory.
