Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process incoming public records requests in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Digitize and catalog historical documents, maps, and vital records to ensure long-term preservation.
- Assist the public and legal professionals with inquiries regarding property deeds, marriage licenses, and court filings.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive government data.
- Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and electronic records.
- Collaborate with other municipal agencies to facilitate information sharing.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in History, Library Science, or Public Administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in administrative support, data entry, or records management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and database management software.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident eligible for government security clearance.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
