Responsibilities
- Patrol government buildings and grounds during night hours to deter unauthorized activity and ensure the safety of the facility.
- Monitor and operate security control rooms, including CCTV systems, access control panels, and alarm systems.
- Enforce security protocols and procedures for all visitors, employees, and vendors entering government premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, initiating appropriate action plans.
- Conduct regular inspections of doors, windows, and entry points to identify and report potential security vulnerabilities.
- Prepare detailed written incident reports and log entries in accordance with departmental standards.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders as needed during critical situations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Clean criminal background check and drug screen required for government clearance.
- Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or the military is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and remain alert during night shifts.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical fitness to perform patrolling duties and emergency response tasks.
