Responsibilities
- Screen passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo for dangerous items and prohibited materials using X-ray equipment and magnetometers.
- Enforce security regulations and procedures to maintain the integrity of the security checkpoint.
- Assist travelers with questions regarding prohibited items and security procedures in a professional manner.
- Operate and monitor automated screening systems to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy.
- Patrol security checkpoints and the sterile area to prevent unauthorized access.
- Document and report any security breaches, suspicious activities, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized screening workspace to adhere to health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
- Pass a background investigation, including a criminal history check and fingerprinting.
- Ability to pass a medical examination, including drug screening.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
