Responsibilities
- Perform screening operations for passengers, carry-on baggage, and cargo to detect prohibited items.
- Monitor X-ray monitors and walk-through metal detectors to identify security threats.
- Operate screening equipment, including advanced CT scanners and AIT machines.
- Provide exceptional customer service to travelers while enforcing security regulations.
- Conduct pat-downs and bag searches as required by security protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized screening checkpoint area.
- Report any suspicious behavior or security breaches immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and security clearance.
- Good vision (correctable) and hearing abilities.
- Ability to pass a medical examination including drug screening.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
