Responsibilities
- Customer Assistance: Provide exceptional service to Denver residents by answering inquiries regarding government programs, applications, and services in person and over the phone.
- Documentation Processing: Accurately review, verify, and process incoming applications, forms, and petitions to ensure compliance with all city and state regulations.
- Record Management: Maintain precise and confidential digital and physical records of all transactions, ensuring data integrity and easy accessibility for future audits.
- Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve complex issues or complaints from the public, escalating matters to supervisors when necessary to achieve a positive outcome.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with other city agencies and internal teams to streamline processes and improve the overall citizen experience.
- Community Outreach: Assist in organizing and participating in community events to promote available government resources and programs.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or higher in Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in customer service, public administration, or a related government sector role.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new government software systems quickly.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex policies to diverse audiences clearly.
- Integrity: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
