Responsibilities
- Coordinate weekend emergency response and public service operations across Austin's metropolitan districts
- Manage citizen inquiries and service requests via our 24/7 hotline and digital platforms
- Conduct routine infrastructure inspections and report maintenance needs during off-peak hours
- Collaborate with weekday teams to ensure seamless service continuity and documentation
- Implement weekend-specific safety protocols for field operations and public interactions
- Generate and submit weekly operational reports highlighting weekend service metrics
- Participate in cross-departmental weekend drills and emergency simulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Public Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 2 years in government or public service operations
- Valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
- Proficiency in municipal software systems (e.g., Austin 311, SAP)
- Strong conflict resolution skills for high-pressure weekend scenarios
- Flexibility to adapt to rotating weekend schedules including holidays
- Spanish bilingual proficiency preferred
